For vineyard vistas and mountain panoramas, here's where to stay.

A magnificent addition to thriving Uco Valley, The Vines Resort & Spa is the latest development at this 1,500-acre vineyard ownership project. With luxury around every corner, from lakeside decks to outdoor bathtubs and an infinity swimming pool overlooked by the Andean foothills, 22 bespoke villas make up this vast complex. The emphasis is on blending in with nature; local stones cleaved by hand make up much of the architecture at The Vines, which also houses a winery, gym, poolside bar and Siete Fuegos restaurant – executive chef Francis Mallmann is Mendoza’s most famous culinary export. The spa is due to open in December 2014 so expect to see construction until then. Guests should take advantage of their own personal gaucho for the duration of their stay – as a friend, translator and concierge, that is.
